What Toilet Paper Can Teach Us

Toilet PaperI have a question for you about toilet paper...and not the commonly debated question about whether you put the toilet paper on to roll over or under (though it's a great topic!), but what can toilet paper teach you about personal development and success?

My wife had a dream about this cupboard full of partially used toilet paper roles, and wondered what the significance of that could be.

It dawned on her that that's how most people treat their personal development journey.  They start something, then put it away and never finish.

Now, realistically, many people use up the toilet paper on the role and don't change it for the next person that comes along, leaving them in a bind (hopefully there's an extra role handy!)

So we'd never think to take the roll off before it's finished and replace it with a brand new one (though I admit that probably does happen on rare occasions).  Yet that's how many people approach personal development.

Have you ever started something and realized that it's helping you, only to find a little while later that you're no longer doing what was helping you (and yet wondering why you feel "stuck")?

Most of the time it's because we haven't done something long enough to make it a habit.  The solution there is to keep doing it daily until it becomes a habit.

Sometimes, though, we stop doing things like exploring and eliminating our limiting beliefs, because we believe that it will be hard or painful or take too long, or maybe all 3!  In truth, it might be hard, it could be painful, and it might take a while...but aren't you worth it?

Can you imagine how much easier life could be if you believed you were worth it?  It takes getting over those limiting beliefs to truly believe it, but I promise you that the effort is worth it.

Who you become in the process of striving for success is the best part.  You can find out who you are, how to be authentic, and how everything you need is right there in your reach.  Even some extra toilet paper, should you need it.

And that's why I do what I do.  That's why I schedule 3 calls every month to share with my Eagles Club community, that's why there are free resources available to you through my website, as well as hundreds available for purchase, and why I'm always pushing myself to learn more as well.

I'm going to keep on doing what I do until there are no more limiting beliefs.  So until then, I am like a roll of toilet paper that never runs out.

Enjoy the Journey!
