Stop Selling! Start Serving...

Be careful how you advertise! And based on this photo, be careful what you're selling or serving!

Seriously, though, many people in direct sales have issues with selling – and so I’m going to offer this simple advice:

Stop Selling!

I don’t mean quit your business and get rid of all your products. What I mean is there’s another way to move the products off of your shelves and earn an income in the process, and it doesn’t involve any gimmicks, internet tactics, or blow-out sales. What it does involve is taking a look at sales from another perspective.

What's Important to You?

I mentioned in the last article, “Stop Asking Why…Start Asking How,” that your values tell you what’s important to you, and by looking at them and getting clear on what’s important to you, you’ll understand why you make the choices you make.

Let’s Look at Values…

Your values are those things you decide are important to you. It’s a simple concept with HUGE applications, because your values drive all of your decisions. While it’s a simple concept, most people still don’t know what their values are, because they haven’t taken the time to sit down and figure them out.

Stop Asking Why...Start Asking How

I had a realization the other day that many of the questions I receive when I do my monthly Ask Me Anything calls start with the phrase, “why do I…” It actually made me chuckle – not because it’s funny, but because it’s interesting how people think they’re asking for the answers they want with that question when they’re really only investigating the problem (and it won’t usually resolve the problem itself).

Let’s Look at Why…

“Why” is a great question to ask – if you only want look at the problem and keep it around. What I’m saying is that asking “why?” does not give you any solutions.

Victim or Victor? Which Would You Choose?

Perhaps an odd title – who would choose to be a victim? Seems like no one would, but in reality many of us do every day.

Let Me Tell You A Story…

We recently went on a LONG road trip where nothing went right.

Roadtrip Realizations

One of my mottos is “Enjoy the Journey,” and on our recent trek from California to Texas, we did just that. We took in many sights and learned some lessons along the way, too. Remember that in life, sometimes it’s about getting to a destination – but getting there is always easier when you enjoy the journey.

Celebrate Your Freedom!

I want to take a moment to day to talk about Freedom.  While today is Independence Day, a day to celebrate freedom in this great country, there are many individuals who do not feel free.

There are those who feel burdened by pressures, goals and deadlines. There are those who feel tied down by their environments or responsibilities. There are many who feel imprisoned by their own thoughts and feelings – or perhaps their past.
