Creating Emotional Freedom
Emotions are powerful, they can control you if you don't know how to control them. Often we think emotions cannot be controlled, because, as described in the definition, an emotion is "A mental state that arises spontaneously rather than through conscious effort and is often accompanied by physiological changes." It takes conscious effort to control your emotions, and it can be done. Once you learn how to control your emotions, it gives you freedom from them. While it's important to still experience emotions and give yourself permission to feel them, knowing how to handle your emotions is a valuable lesson that will empower you and enrich your life. |
