Dissecting Depression & Delivering Hope

An Expert Interview with Debbie Poloka

Listen in as I interview Debbie Poloka, Personal Growth and Development Coach, who helps clients overcome their fears and frustrations, and is a master at helping people handle depression.

Debbie attended one of our live events, and rapidly transformed her life - moving from depression and desperation to a place of happiness and hope. After her amazing turn around, she pursued training to coach others and offer them the freedom to be successful according to their beliefs, both in their business and personal lives.

When it comes to depression, Debbie knows her stuff. She personally had an abusive childhood, was sexually molested as a small child, was mentally and physically abused by her husband, and nine years ago ended up in a psychiatric hospital because she wanted to commit suicide. It was there that Debbie was diagnosed as having severe clinical depression and told it is something she would have to be treated for and suffer from the rest of her life. However, she now knows differently.

With this CD or audio file you can find out the real defintion of depression, from someone who's been there and found the strength to dig her way out. We'll also talk about the difference between feeling blue & being depressed, as well as what warning signs to look for. Then we'll move beyond depression and offer hope, as Debbie offers answers and insights to questions such as:

  • What is helpful to do or say when someone is depressed? What isn’t?
  • Is it best to be loving, firm, or both? Is tough love really helpful?
  • Do you push someone to talk when they don’t want to? Do you force them to go out instead of sitting at home?
  • What does enabling someone look like?
  • What should you do when a depressed person doesn’t want to help themselves?
  • Do you recommend medication for depression?
  • How can you offer hope to someone that is depressed?
